Specialized in relationship-based dog training methods, All Purpose Canine works with state-of-the-art training tools and a deep understanding of canine behavior to enhance communication and create a foundation of trust between dogs and their owners. All Purpose Canine uses a balanced approach to training, this means that all four quadrants of operant conditioning are utilized as needed, positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement, positive punishment, and negative punishment. (positive referring to adding something, negative referring to taking something away) This gives dogs the ability to learn new behaviors through a goal-driven learning style that is both enjoyable and effective, while still maintaining the ability to keep dogs accountable when bad behaviors arise.

We believe every dog deserves a chance — to stay in a loving home, not a shelter, and to live a full, happy life rather than face the euthanasia table. We train with compassion, proven methods, and practical guidance so owners can enjoy their dogs to their fullest potential. We are committed to responsible stewardship of the animals God has entrusted to us, treating each dog with respect, care, and dignity while empowering families to build lasting, joyful relationships.

my experience in dog training started several years ago with family and friend’s dogs that needed extra guidance. Then my training journey changed, I got my chunky 9-week-old Czech German shepherd puppy, Archer. Raising him gave me first-hand experience with a highly driven and pushy dog that liked to test boundaries, and overall he taught me how to be a confident handler. I fell in love with the art of training and want to help others experience the joys that come with having a dog that understands you. And developing a stronger relationship with your dog through training. Dog training has taught me so much about how relationships succeed through proper communication, and I aim to bring that into all of my work. All Purpose Canine works by fitting the training to the dog, no matter the environment, struggle, age of the dog, training goals, or behavioral problems, you will find a program tailored to your needs.
